At home sick, I noticed a bunch of busy bumbly bees buzzing around my rosemary bush. So I had to go take some pictures. Funny how I used to be scared of these things, but behind the lens, I try to get as close as possible. It was tough trying to frame these busy little buggers.
This was shot the day after Bumbly Bees. This time I used a tethered flash with a home made 8X10 soft box mounted to it so I could catch some more wing detail. It's really hard to aim a macro lens with the camera held with just one hand, and the other hand trying to aim the flash!
